Mom and Dad went to Lake Tahoe for a few days in July and decided to test out our theory that we'd bought a house close(er) to the Lake. 90 minutes!! That is how long it took me to drive from my garage to the first parking lot where you can see the water. Robert had to work so the kids and I came up to play on the beach and have a picnic lunch with Grandma and Grandpa. I was soooo sick and Mom took care of me. I sat in a chair on the beach or laid on a blanket and read the Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society while she and Dad played with the kids. They'd run over for intermediate hugs and snuggles from me, but credit goes to Nang Nang for building sand castles with Blake and to Grandma for wading out into the water about 2 dozen times with Grace and London. Our girls have their Grandma's and Daddy's genes. They don't feel the cold and would love to be in the water all day. I didn't realize I had fingerprints on the lens for these pictures, and the one of them wading out with Grandma and Nang Nang is blurry, but the memories are clear and beautiful.
