It's Soccer Time!

Blake made his debut on the soccer field this fall.  I didn't know anything about how things worked and thought the end of July was early enough to think about registering him.  All the teams filled up in the spring, but we were able to join a team when a spot opened up because of a boy broke his arm... :(

The practices were at a nearby elementary school.

Grace loves bringing her tea set and several toys to practice.  We set everything up on a picnic blanket and all of the younger sisters of the soccer players play together.  Grace and London look forward to practices and have made great friends with the girls.  They play tag, and laugh, giggle, and do somersaults on the field together.  For several days they collected acorns all throughout practice and brought them to me, where I would store them in my soccer chair cup holder.

All of the games were at the SAME field!  Right by our home.  I loved it!

Soccer games were also great times for the girls to run and play.

One of the best parts of being a soccer player: The post-game snack.  Oh, yeah.  This is a happy guy.

My tummy got big during soccer season.

I made friends, too, as captured by Grace with the camera.

My dad has been to California quite frequently this fall and winter for business.  He was able to make it to one of Blake's games and see the Falcons in action.
