We Solemnly Proclaim

That marriage between a man and woman is ordained of God.

Children are entitled to birth within the bonds of matrimony, and to be reared by a father and a mother who honor marital vows with complete fidelity.

In 2000, 61% of California voters said "Yes" to marriage as a man and a woman. 4 San Francisco-based judges said "No."

In November Californians will have the opportunity to vote again, saying that marriage should be limited to heterosexual couples.

Below is a list of companies who have donated $250,000 or less to the Prop 8 opposition. In other words, they do not believe marriage should be limited to one man and one woman.

I am going to look for addresses for the companies below, which we've patronized in the past. To them to let them know that I do not support the donation of our dollars to the Prop 8 opposition. Especially the following companies: PG&E, Kaiser Permanente, AT&T, and Comcast.

If you'd like to donate to proponents of Proposition 8, ProtectMarriage.com, go to www.protectmarriage.com. We'll be helping as much as we can with the campaign to support Prop 8 and displaying a sign in our window.

Here is a list of all of the companies who have been recognized for supporting the opposition to Prop 8, in case you would like to scan them for places you've patronized and send letters, yourself.

I heard about PG&E a month or so ago and already called them but I didn't know about Comcast or Kaiser. I tired to do a search and learn more but couldn't find anything (and didn't see them on the list). If you know where it talks about them donating let me know. I want to have all the facts before I call them.

Thanks Melissa for this post!

I still remember when Prop. 22 was in ballot. We were asked to help the best we can with that. Our stake president at the time actually called all the priesthood holders together and ask them to see what they could donate for the cause.

It really is sad to see the companies we use to give their support to the opposition.
