Pumpkin Patch!

Three years in a row! We couldn't wait to return to our favorite Halloween stomping grounds.

Our kids got really dirty for the first time in about 12 months!

Blake, Grace, and London couldn't stand being so close to the train whistle. Blake and Grace held their ears for most of the train ride in anticipation of the next whistle. And London jumped and screamed every time the whistle would sound. Poor girl! I tried to hold her close and keep her ears covered. Amid train whistles, Blake loved the ride and Robbie and I really enjoyed it, too.

The pumpkin patch was in a different field this year. Several large pumpkins were still there, even though we made it on the last Saturday before Halloween.

We did not buy a pumpkin (we got one for free at a children's class we attended at the plant nursery this month!) or souveniers but we did patrionize the root beer saloon for the first time.

Mmm... Could I have some more, please!

"I want to go home," Blake said.

If we had a field like this in our back yard, it could be that these city kids would not be so tuckered out after a walk through the pumpkin patch. However they would have a few snake bites, and injuries from rusty objects or falling out of trees.
