Moving In

After a couple of weeks of radio silence, we are online and moved in. Here are a couple of pictures of the day after we moved in:





That morning we returned the moving truck and guess what we found?




Food 4 Less! The place where chips are not $3.99 but ...





$1.98!

Are we in Utah?! I shopped at Food 4 Less in Provo when I went to BYU and I had no idea they existed in California. So a few days later I put the kids in a kids' cart (an item that Winco does not have) --



And we were off on a new shopping adventure. It turns out the first few isles are where they keep the items with the best discount and I still managed to spend about the same that I normally spend at Raley's but it sure brought back a lot of memories. The store is laid out exactly like the one in Provo, with just a little firewood out front to remind us that we are closer to the woods and Lake Tahoe up here.

Robbie and I spent part of our first date at Food 4 Less. We went to a Messiah Sing-A-Long around Christmastime and then went to Food 4 Less with the other couples from our group and bought supplies to make gingerbread houses. If I had a scanner, I would attach a picture from our first date. We will have to find a scanner soon so we can add fun pictures like that sometimes.

We have been on a hunt for all of the parks nearby with baby swings and we've found a few really great ones. I met one of my neighbors the first week we were here and she has told us about several fun places in the area.
