Snow Day!

We heard a rumor last week from one of Blake's friends that it was going to snow on Monday. We excitedly checked the weather report only to see rain predicted. We were completely surprised to wake up and see this!!! --

Blake and Brian built a snowman and had a snowball fight while Grace played in the snow and then changed her shoes a few times.

London would not step foot out of the garage. She probably couldn't walk because her shoes were too big. She stared at the white blanketed yard and driveway in wonder. I picked her up and carried her around and she was hesitant to touch the snow on one of the tree branches that I held out to her. She did not like it when I put her down on the sidewalk in front of our house.

Pretty amazing, considering just a few days ago I took these pictures while Grace and I were playing when Blake was in school:











School was canceled on Monday and Tuesday so we played in the snow together both days. On Monday we came in and after a warm bath and hot cocoa, read Christmas stories by the fire. It was wonderful and our car stayed parked for two days while we played at home.
