Going to Utah

We stopped and played at Great Basin Adventure in Reno on the way to Utah. It was very hot but still fun to explore the dinosaur park, the farm animals, and play at the park. You could cool off from the Nevada heat by walking under points that would spray mist as you walk below. I bought a pony ride ticket for Blake and Grace because they said Grace just had to be old enough to sit by herself. I thought the pony ride might be several tiny horses that walk in circles around a wheel like I've seen designed for Apple Hill.

I realized we were not in liability land any more having left California, when the boy who was leading the ponies brought out a tall horse, didn't have a helmet to offer, and stood waiting for Blake to hop on without assistance. After a mommy boost, he sat up on the saddle and loved it. Grace wanted a turn but I knew it would not work since Blake had started to slip off to the side a little at one point and the boy leading the horse was not really watching or near to Blake to help him. "Sit up tall, buddy!" I yelled to him like the excited fan I was, with a smile and he straightened up tall and enjoyed the rest of the ride. He wanted to go a second time and used Grace's ticket since she was not quite big enough to ride.

London loved the baby swing

It was attached to the neck of a dinosaur.

Meanwhile, Blake was swinging from the tail.

We went swimming at the hotel and the next morning hit the road for Utah!
