BYU: 1999 - 2001

I met up with one of my all time favorite ladies of all time while we were at BYU. Kristina is one of those wonderful people that make life so fun and interesting and with whom you can talk for hours and hours. I just adore her. We met at the Cougareat for lunch and as we talked, Sara became fast friends with Grace. They were running away together down the aisles away from our table and we kept calling to them and getting up to bring them back to us.
After lunch, we walked through the bookstore and into the outdoor atrium area at the new Joseph Smith Building on campus. The fountain looked so tempting to put our feet in and the kids were really hot from walking around campus. So we tried to sit on the bench and put our feet in while dangling our kids feet into the water, too. This clearly wouldn't work because the marble bench we were sitting on around the fountain was burning up so we stood up - just right along the edge of the fountain.
I pictured faculty members looking out their windows down at the moms and their toddlers in a self-invented splash park and dashing out to tell us of our error. The fountain seemed brand new. It was very clean and not slippery at all. - And huge. Soon we were wading after Blake, Grace, and Sara toward the center of the fountain and my attempts to have London "waterski" on the top of the water, just putting her toes in became very aggrivating for her. She was determined to cool off completely and soon she was sitting in the fountain, dress and all.

We were a drenched happy bunch as we walked away from the fountain and decided to completely cool down with some ice cream from the Creamery. The soaking wet, tired kids were freezing after coming in the air conditioned Wilk and the ice cream sealed the deal on cold and sleepy, sunbaked kids who were ready to come home for a nice nap.
Our visit came to an end too fast so rather than say goodbye, we decided we'd make plans to get together for a weekend of fun sometime in the future. Bye, Nina! Thanks for meeting us.
